It was truly exciting to be part of Professor Arundati Dandapani‘s panel discussion and networking night at Humber College on skills and careers in data analytics and insights! Here are some standout moments for me from the event:
- Engaging with fellow panelists and students: It was a privilege to share our experiences and insights about the dynamic world of data with fellow panelists and students. It was an incredible learning opportunity, and I was blown away by the diverse and enlightening perspectives presented by my fellow panelists.
- Nurturing Talent: It was so inspiring to see the curiosity and enthusiasm among the students, eager to carve their path in this data-driven world and putting their ideas out there.
- Mutual Learning Experience: The exchange of ideas and perspectives was truly enriching. From discussing emerging trends in Generative AI to highlighting the importance of a diverse skillset for any role, the session reminded me that learning truly is an endless journey.
- Empowering Futures: Looking at the sincerity of the students as they soaked in the insights was a rewarding experience. I hope our discussions ignited new possibilities and encouraged them to chase their ambitions in the data world.

Shipra Pandey got into the marketing research industry right after graduating from college. Her interest in data took her from being a data processing trainee to a Data Specialist working as a Data Processor and Survey Programmer at the same time, and then finally as a Data Science – Tech Lead where she took on added responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Specialist, supervising and working with her team to deliver high-quality outputs to our clients. Today, she works as a Senior Survey Programmer at Canadian Viewpoint.
