What jobs are opening up, which skills are gaining value, and what is making career progress harder? We want to hear from the people navigating these changes firsthand. Generation1.ca’s Career Skills & Jobs Pulse is a short study open to anyone who uses Generation1.ca, whether or not you attended our Friday, September 25th Virtual Career Fair and Case Competition – Quantum Careers: Superposition, Strange Matter and Serious Talent. It will ask about the roles and sectors you are pursuing, the changes you are seeing in hiring, the effects of AI and automation, and the support that would help you move forward. If you attended Generation1.ca’s Fall 2026 Career Fair and Case Competition, we also want to know what stood out, what you learned, and whether it introduced you to a new employer or career path. If you could not attend, your perspective matters just as much: we want to understand what shaped that decision and what would make future events more useful to you.
Your responses will help us identify emerging opportunities and barriers, improve future career fairs, and shape skills programming around what people actually need. Look out for the Career Skills & Jobs Pulse and add your voice to the next chapter of Generation1.ca’s work. Thank you to our partners at Field Notes and Andrea de la Concha, Customer Success Specialist at Field Notes, North America for offering their platform for this purpose. Stay tuned for the results, which will also be included in the 2026 Global Industry Skills Study (GISS2026) Annual Report to be released soon. Thank you to Fuse Insights and Unlock Surveys for their sponsorship and help with some of the B2B data collection to target employers outside of our sponsor and employer networks at Generation1.ca.
