Galactic-Ready Talent 2026: Building the Workforce of the Space Economy

At our upcoming Spring 2026 Virtual Career Fair and Case Competition Galactic-Ready Talent: Space Odysseys, Cosmic Intelligence, and Aliens, six selected teams will step into a future-facing challenge that asks a bold question: What does it take to build the workforce behind the next era of space exploration?

Their work explores both a social challenge: strengthening diverse pathways into aerospace and a business challenge of unlocking value from innovations such as advanced textiles, mobility engineering, robotics, and sensing systems that power next-generation spacesuits and orbital missions. Along the way, teams are also thinking globally, drawing inspiration from emerging collaborations like Africa2Moon, Artemeus 2,3,4, Luna, Chandrayan and so many missions that had different trajectories, reminding us the future of space will and has been shaped across continents.

This competition sits at the heart of a broader career fair designed to connect talent with opportunity across aerospace, AI, manufacturing, mobility engineering, and research technologies—fields that increasingly overlap in the space economy.

We are especially grateful to our Champion Sponsors Fuse Insights who are also our Global Industry Skills Study (GISS) sponsors along with Unlock Surveys (stay tuned for our 2026 wave) and association partners the Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC) and ZASPACE along with our handpicked panel and competition jury, whose leadership reflects a powerful idea: building space futures starts with building talent ecosystems.

At Generation1.ca, we believe the journey to the Moon, Mars, and beyond begins here with our members, partners, and communities willing to imagine boldly together.
