Advancing Equity with Survey Science: AAPOR 2026-27 Executive Council Insights

At the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR – the leading association of public opinion and survey research professionals)’s 81st Conference in Los Angeles, Generation1.ca Founder and CEO Arundati Dandapani was welcomed to the 2026–27 Executive Council. Picking up from her past roles serving on AAPOR committees, including the 2024 Ad Hoc Strategic Planning Committee that reviewed the association’s relevance, governance, and value proposition post-pandemic, Arundati brings an experienced global, equity-centred, and innovation-focused lens to advancing AAPOR’s mission and strengthening the field’s future impact. In this role, she contributes to AAPOR’s mission of advancing high standards, best practices, inclusive interdisciplinary collaboration, and public understanding of sound survey science. Her work will continue supporting AAPOR’s vision that valid and transparent data about people’s behaviors, attitudes, and characteristics is essential to informed societal decision-making, while continuing to drive equity and inclusion across the field.
